It features the robust 6500 chassis, which integrates the XL270d Gen10 system board with a GPU module stacked on top, ensuring optimal performance for intensive computational workloads.


The server supports up to 16 drives on its 2-socket, 24-DIMM system tray, allowing for extensive storage and memory capacity. The Apollo Power Distribution Unit (PDU) houses the midplanes, efficiently connecting the entire system to deliver seamless integration and exceptional power management for demanding workloads.

    • HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 software RAID will operate in UEFI mode only. For legacy support an additional controller will be needed, and for CTO orders please also select the legacy mode settings part, 758959-B22.
    • HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID is OFF by default and must be enabled.
    • The S100i uses 14 embedded SATA ports, but only 12 ports are accessible as 2 are leveraged to support the 2 M.2 options on the primary riser.
    • The S100i supports windows only.
    • For Linux users, HPE offers a solution that uses In-Distro Open-Source software to create a Two-Disk RAID 1 boot volume:
