The PowerEdge C6520 maximizes performance per U by supporting 4 dual-socket compute nodes in a 2U chassis with Air and Direct Liquid Cooling options to power the highest-performing processors. It supports 8 memory channels/CPU, up to 16 DDR4 DIMMs @ 3200 MT/s DIMM speed. In addition, to address substantial throughput improvements the PowerEdge C6520 supports PCIe Gen 4 and up to 6 NVMe drives per node. The PowerEdge C6520 supports up to 16 DIMMs in a 2S configuration, with up to 2 TB of memory capacity and speeds of up to 3200 MT/s. The PowerEdge C6520 has eight DIMM channels per processor with one DIMM per channel (DPC).
The PowerEdge C6520 supports 16 GB/32 GB/64 GB (registered) RDIMMs. It supports 128 GB LRDIMMs and it will not support UDIMMs or persistent memory.

This Node server has two different risers, both have a x16 slot for a PCIe Adapter or GPU card. But Riser 1B has two Micro SD slots for boot.
There is also a dedicated slot on the system board for the BOSS-S1 M.2 Riser. This Riser holds two M.2 NVMe drives for boot.

Riser 2BThe system comes with a Single port 1 Gbe LOM (Broadcom) for networking. It also has an optin to upgrade the networking with the OCP3 Gen4 slot x16. This OCP slot can support a OCP NIC Card with speeds up to 25Gb per port. If the OCP card is not installed a blank filler will be installed for airflow reasons.

When either of the risers is installed in the C6520 Node Server. You can install any PCI adapter or a single-width GPU. With 4 Nodes installed in a chassis, you can have up to 4 GPUs in one enclosure. Please read the manual for more information on which slot can support GPU and other Adapters.
