Ideal for:
- High-Performance Computing (HPC)
- Web Tech
This is just 1 out of 3 Node servers supported.
The C6400 Enclosure Server must be configured separately.
The new Dell EMC PowerEdge C6525 is a compute-dense server designed to boost data center performance to tackle a variety of High-Performance Computing (HPC) workloads and applications.
The Dell EMC PowerEdge C6400 is a 2U enclosure that can handle up to four two-socket (2S) sleds. This Dell PowerEdge C6400 Chassis / Enclosure configuration can accommodate 4 Node Servers.
Deliver breakthrough performance, innovations and density for traditional and emerging workloads
The new Dell EMC PowerEdge C6525 is a compute-dense server designed to boost data center performance to tackle a variety of High Performance Computing (HPC) workload and applications. High-level features:
- Up to 512 processing cores in a 2U/4N dense server - The most available processing cores of any 2U Dell EMC PowerEdge server
- Up to 3200MT/s memory speed to reduce latency and deliver faster response
- Faster data transfer speeds with PCIe Gen 4
- Optimized core count and memory for large datasets
- Low latency and flexible high speed fabric for highly performant clusters
- Cost optimized design with rich single-socket configurations
Increase efficiency and accelerate operations with an automated infrastructure
The Dell EMC OpenManage™ systems management portfolio delivers an efficient and comprehensive solution for PowerEdge servers
through tailored, automated, and repeatable processes.
- Automate server life cycle management with scripting via the iDRAC Restful API with Redfish conformance.
- Simplify and centralize one to many management with the OpenManage Enterprise console.
- Utilize the OpenManage Mobile app to easily manage servers using a phone or tablet.
- Resolve issues with up to 72% less IT effort using automated proactive and predictive technology from ProSupport Plus and SupportAssist.**
Fortify your data center with integrated security
Every PowerEdge server is designed with a cyber resilient architecture, integrating
security deeply into every phase in the lifecycle, from design to retirement.
- Enhance security with platform enablement of AMD Secure Memory Encryption (SME) and Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV).
- Operate your workloads on a secure platform anchored by cryptographically trusted booting and silicon root of trust.
- Maintain server firmware safety with digitally signed firmware packages.
- Detect and remediate unauthorized or malicious change with drift detection and system lockdown.
- Securely and quickly wipe all data from storage media including hard drives, SSDs and system memory with System Erase.

The PowerEdge C6525 is installed with one Broadcom BCM54210S-Gigabit Ethernet controller as an independent Ethernet interface device. When installing the OCP 3.0 Card you can raise the networking capabilities from 1GbE to 25 Gb network speed.

The system has two risers that can be installed. If you desire the Liquid Cooling feature for the CPUs. The Riser 2A is not supported as the liquid cooling tubes take up that slot.

Liquid Cooling RiserThe PowerEdge C6525 supports multiple storage configurations for numerous type of workloads. The C6400 chassis supports the following configuration types:
- No hard drives in a no-backplane configuration.
- 24 x 2.5-inch direct backplane configuration with up to six SAS/SATA drives for each PowerEdge C6525 node.
- 24 x 2.5-inch NVMe backplane configuration with up to six drives for each PowerEdge C6525 node out of which 2 drives can be NVMe drives. Both the drives can support up to Gen3 speed.
- 12 x 3.5-inch direct backplane configuration with up to 3 SAS/SATA drives for each PowerEdge C6525 node.
| Controllers | Models |
|---|---|
| Storage controllers | PERC H345, PERC H745, HBA345, HBA355i |
| Integrated storage controllers | S150 |
| H745 is Not supported for CPU TDP ≥ 180 Watts. | |
The system also contains a BOSS M.2 riser that holds 2 Drives. This is a dedicated slot that is connect to the SATA port on the system board. View the manual for more details.

A Single GPU is supported on Riser 1A if that is the only riser installed, If both risers are installed then 1 GPU can be installed in Slot 2 of Riser 2A. Slot 2 has top priority for the GPU. Another tip is that the T4 GPU card is Not supported with 128GB LRDIMM. Please read the manuals for all the limitations of the GPU configuration.
