Dell PowerEdge R230

The Dell PowerEdge R230 is a 1U single-socket rack server that makes a solid first or replacement server for small businesses and branch offices. It runs one Intel Xeon E3-1200 v5 or v6 processor (or a Pentium, Core i3 or Celeron chip), four DDR4 UDIMM slots for up to 64GB at 2400 MT/s, and up to four 3.5" cabled or hot-swap drives. Two PCIe 3.0 slots, dual 1GbE ports and iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller round it out. Fully configurable.

The Gen 14 R240 moves to Xeon E-2200 processors with up to 8 cores, DDR4-2666 memory and iDRAC9, and adds a 450W PSU option. Both are 1U single-socket servers with four DIMM slots (64GB), up to four 3.5-inch drives and two PCIe slots.
