This system has 1 option for drives but it takes up a PSU slot. Which is not ideal when running 4 GPUs in a single system. Since the C4140 does not hold any drives, Dell has provided the BOSS-S1 that will be installed in Slot 2 of the PCIe Riser 1. This BOSS-S1 card will provide the system with a Boot Option for the main OS. This system also supports vFlash or vFlash + IDSDM for booting the Hypervisor's OS.
The Dell C4140 Rack Server comes with a Network Daughter Card installed below Riser 2. The two supported options are Quad Port 10Gb Base-T or SFP. You also have 2 PCIe slots when both risers are installed for extra Networking Adapters.
