If Quantity 2 or more of 817753-B21 (HPE 10/25GbE 2p SFP28 MCX4121A Adptr) is selected along with 8GB DIMM then system memory must be 16GB or higher.
Due to design limitation of the Butterfly Riser it is not possible to populate a 4-port RJ45 PCIe card into slot1 of DL20 Gen10 as it will cause an interference between the 4-port RJ45 and the FH bkt of slot2. Therefore, a 4-port RJ45 PCIe card can only be accommodated in slot2 of DL20 Gen10 with a FH bracket.

FlexibleLOM Adapters (Optional)

This riser is mandatory for installing FlexibleLOM riser kit (P06667-B21)
When a FlexibleLOM adapter is installed on a server with default iLO settings, the port 1 of FlexibleLOM adapter will be configured as shared iLO port.

HPE DL20 Gen10 Chassis Options

The HPE DL20 Gen 10 rack server can support up to 6SFF Drives in the SFF Chassis. This server also supports the M.2 drives for BOOT. This is a great way to save some extra space for storage. The (2) M.2 drives are installed on a PCIe adapter card that is supported by every chassis.

Chassis Upgrade for 4SFF

The HPE DL20 Gen10 2SFF HDD Enablement Kit (P06671-B21) takes up the same slot as the ODD. When this is installed the only option for an Optical Drive is with an HPE Mobile USB DVD-RW Optical Drive 701498-B21. This USB Kit is only supported on USB 3.0 ports.

HPE DL20 Gen10 (SATA/NVMe) M.2 Drives

The HPE DL20 supports two types of M.2 Drives. One NVMe drive or 2 SATA drives. Each option has a different adapter card installed. You can install a normal Stand-up card, The HPE Universal SATA 6G AIC HHHL M.2 SSD Enablement Kit (878783-B21). Or, the HPE DL20/ML30 Gen10 M.2/Dedicated iLO and Serial Port Kit (P06687-B21).

The SATA M.2 Adapter can hold 2 drives while the NVMe M.2 Card can only support 1 NVMe M.2 Drive. The NVMe M.2 kit includes one dedicated iLO module and one serial port cable, with one M.2 slot for BOOT.

HPE DL20 Gen10 PCI Risers

The DL20 Gen10 only has 1 Butterfly riser with 2 Riser Card options. HPE DL20 Gen10 x8x16 FlexibleLOM Riser Kit (P06667-B21). The other option is the HPE DL20 Gen10 PCIe Low Profile Riser Kit (P09145-B21).

HPE DL20 Gen 10 Adaptive RAID on Chip (AROC) Adaptive RAID on Chip (AROC)

To save a PCIe slot, use an Adaptive RAID on Chip (AROC) Cards when installing RAID or a SAS controller. If you do install the Performance Smart Arrays P408i-a or P408e-p, you will also need to install the HPE 12W Smart Storage Lithium-ion Battery (782961-B21) and its holder.

HPE DL20 Gen 10 FlexLOM Riser FlexLOM Riser

The PCIe3x8 FlexLom riser kits has a dedicated slot for only the FlexibleLOM cards in Slot 1. The FlexLom is the only way to install a 4 port card in slot 1.

HPE DL20 Gen 10 Primary LP Riser Primary LP Riser

Due to design limitations of the Butterfly Riser, it's only possible to populate a 4-port RJ45 PCIe card into slot 2 unless you install a FlexLOM.

Default Controller | S100i

HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID is installed but off by default and must be enabled by selecting (784308-B21). The S100i is a 14-port SATA controller, but only 12 ports are accessible as 2 are leveraged to support the 2 M.2 Boot options on the Primary Riser. The S100i supports Windows only.
