The Dell PowerVault ME484 is an exceptional storage array that offers high-speed data transfer and ample cache memory for optimal performance. 3 port 12Gb SAS Expansion Module

6 x 12Gb SAS ports per array
These same chassis form factors are used for the supported expansion enclosures; but with I/O modules instead of controller modules. To make this system an expansion Array you simply need to install the 3-port 12Gb IOM SAS Module in the rear of the system. With this new I/O Module installed you can daisy chain up to 3 5U ME484 Systems. This ME484 is supported by ME4012, ME4024, or the ME4084 Storage Array.

ME4012 and ME4024 storage systems support up to nine ME412/ME424 expansion enclosures or three ME484 expansion enclosures. However, a combination of ME412/ME424 and ME484 expansion enclosures is not supported. ME4084 storage systems support up to three ME484 expansion enclosures.
