The Dell PowerEdge R740 is a 2U dual-socket rack server built on 1st and 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 28 cores per CPU. It offers 24 DDR4 DIMM slots (up to 3TB), up to 8 PCIe Gen3 slots, support for up to three 300W GPUs, and flexible storage with up to 16x 2.5" or 8x 3.5" hot-swap drives. The predecessor to the R750, it remains a proven, cost-effective refurbished platform for virtualization, databases and GPU-accelerated workloads. Fully configurable.
