The Dell PowerEdge R760xd2 is a 2U dual-socket storage server built for file and object storage, video capture and retrieval, and content delivery networks, with up to 28x 3.5" drives in front, mid-tray and rear bays. It runs up to two 4th Gen (up to 32 cores) or 5th Gen (up to 28 cores) Intel Xeon Scalable processors with 16 DDR5 DIMM slots (up to 1.5TB at up to 4800 MT/s), up to five PCIe Gen4 slots and optional single-width or double-width GPU support. Managed by iDRAC9 with 2x 1GbE LOM and an optional OCP 3.0 NIC. Fully configurable.

Up to 28x 3.5-inch drives: 12 front SAS/SATA bays, 12 mid-tray SAS/SATA bays and 4 rear bays. The rear can instead take 2x or 4x 2.5-inch NVMe drives or 4x E3.S NVMe drives. Please specify your capacity needs when you submit your quote configuration.

It has 16 DDR5 RDIMM slots for up to 1.5TB of memory. DIMMs rated up to 5600 MT/s are available, but the system runs memory at up to 4800 MT/s because of the processor limit.

Yes. It supports up to two 75W single-width GPUs, one 75W plus one 150W single-width GPU, or one 180W double-width GPU. The previous-generation R740xd2 had no GPU option.

The R760xd2 moves from 2nd Gen to 4th/5th Gen Xeon Scalable processors (up to 32 cores vs 22), from DDR4 to DDR5, and from PCIe Gen3 to Gen4. It raises capacity from 26 to 28 3.5-inch drives, adds rear NVMe and E3.S options and GPU support, and adds an OCP 3.0 NIC slot.
