The Dell PowerVault ME484 is an exceptional storage array that offers high-speed data transfer and ample cache memory for optimal performance. With 8GB of cache in the 84 3.5" HDDs chassis, this storage array is designed to meet the needs of small businesses that require a reliable and efficient storage solution.

The ME484 dense expansion enclosure is supported behind any of the ME base arrays.
3 port 12Gb SAS Expansion Module
6 x 12Gb SAS ports per array
These same chassis form factors are used for the supported expansion enclosures; but with I/O modules instead of controller modules. To make this system an expansion Array you simply need to install the 3-port 12Gb IOM SAS Module in the rear of the system. With this new I/O Module installed you can daisy chain up to 3 5U ME484 Systems. This ME484 is supported by ME4012, ME4024, or the ME4084 Storage Array.

ME4012 and ME4024 storage systems support up to nine ME412/ME424 expansion enclosures or three ME484 expansion enclosures. However, a combination of ME412/ME424 and ME484 expansion enclosures is not supported. ME4084 storage systems support up to three ME484 expansion enclosures.
