A breeze to cool

The 6 hot swappable fans come in 3 different types. Standard (STD) fans or the High performance Silver (HPR) fans or the High performance Gold (VHP) fans. Most configurations have the Standard Fan kit, If you install the BOSS-N1, GPU, or Rear Drives, Fan 1 will be upgraded to a GOLD fan. Below is a table outlining each config.

Front Bay Drive Options:

All models support the BOSS option, with the exception of the 12 Bay Chassis. All other options support up to 2 GPUs if both CPUs are installed. The 12 Bay is the only config to support the rear bay option.

Limitations with the 12 LFF Chassis

The 12 Bay Chassis has some major restrictions with Thermal and what gear can be installed.

Cannot support PCIe card with the cooling requirement of more than 300LFM at 55C.
Cannot support OCP card with a cooling requirement of more than 250LFM at 55C
(3Y64D / 4TRD3 / GGGDF / R1KTR / Y4VV5) .
Solarflare Melrose DP 25 GBE SFP28 (TTKWY) not supported.
100 Gb network adapter or 100 Gb OCP is not supported.
The 12 Bay Chassis requires the optical transceiver with higher temperature spec (≥ 85°C) to support (M14MK / N8TDR).
The 12 Bay Chassis is the only one to support the rear drive cage.
