Dell PowerEdge R4715

The Dell PowerEdge R4715 is a 1U single-socket rack server built around one 5th Gen AMD EPYC 9005 Series processor, aimed at efficient, dense compute where a single socket is enough. It offers 24 DDR5 RDIMM slots for up to 1.5TB at up to 5200 MT/s, and the front holds up to eight 2.5" SAS/SATA or U.2 NVMe drives or four 3.5" drives. Three PCIe Gen5 x16 slots (including OCP), OCP 3.0 networking up to 25GbE, PERC 12 controllers, BOSS-N1 M.2 boot and redundant 800W or 1100W power round it out. Fully configurable.

Dell's manual lists 24 DDR5 RDIMM slots running at up to 5200 MT/s, for up to 1.5TB using 64GB RDIMMs.

The front holds up to eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA drives, up to eight U.2 NVMe drives, or four 3.5-inch drives, with PERC H965i or H365i controllers and BOSS-N1 M.2 boot. Please specify your capacity needs when you submit your quote configuration.

Three PCIe Gen5 x16 slots, one of them an OCP slot, plus OCP 3.0 NIC options with two or four 25GbE ports and a dedicated 1GbE management port.

Both are 1U single-socket AMD EPYC servers. The R4715 moves to 5th Gen EPYC 9005 and faster DDR5-5200 memory in 24 slots, while the Gen 16 R6615 offers more drive bays, GPU support, up to 3TB of memory and optional liquid cooling.
