Frequently Asked Questions

Up to eight double-wide PCIe Gen5 accelerators at up to 600W each, or up to sixteen single-wide 75W cards. Dell lists the NVIDIA H200 NVL, H100 NVL, RTX Pro 6000 and L40S and the Intel Gaudi 3 as double-wide options, and the NVIDIA L4 as the single-wide option. H100 NVL pairs link with 2-way NVLink bridges and H200 NVL groups of four with 4-way bridges. Higher GPU counts need more system memory, which we match in your quote.

Two Intel Xeon 6 processors, with Dell listing the 6787P (86 cores), 6767P (64 cores) and 6747P (48 cores) at up to 350W. Each CPU has eight DDR5 channels with two DIMMs per channel, for 32 RDIMM slots. Memory runs at up to 6400 MT/s with one DIMM per channel and 5200 MT/s with two, and 32GB to 128GB RDIMMs take it up to 4TB.

The front holds up to eight EDSFF E3.S Gen5 NVMe SSDs, up to 122.88TB raw, plus a BOSS-N1 module with two M.2 NVMe SSDs in hardware RAID 1 for the OS. There is no RAID controller for the data drives. Besides the GPU slots, eight PCIe Gen5 x16 full-height half-length slots take network cards for back-end cluster fabrics, and one OCP 3.0 slot (x8) takes the host NIC. Please specify your capacity needs when you submit your quote configuration.

It is fully air cooled, with up to four dual-fan modules in the mid tray and up to twelve fans across the front, all hot-swap. Up to eight Titanium power supplies, 3200W or 2400W, are split into a CPU zone with two PSUs and a GPU zone with six. Full redundancy uses 1+1 in the CPU zone and 3+3 in the GPU zone, and 277V AC / 336V DC 3200W units are also offered.

They share the same 4U air-cooled layout: up to eight double-wide or sixteen single-wide PCIe GPUs, eight extra PCIe Gen5 x16 slots, up to eight E3.S NVMe drives, CPU and GPU power zones and iDRAC10. The XE7740 runs Intel Xeon 6 with up to 86 cores and 32 DIMM slots for up to 4TB, and Dell lists Intel Gaudi 3 for it. The XE7745 runs 5th Gen AMD EPYC 9005 with up to 192 cores and 24 DIMM slots for up to 3TB, and adds AMD MI350P options.
