The PowerEdge XR5610 system operates in a few different environmental categories: ASHRAE A2/A3/A4 and Edge1 (50°C) and Edge2 (55°C). The heat sink will change based on which environment setup is followed. There are two types of heat sinks. The standard and the extended heat sink. You will only need the extended heat sink with Edge1 and Edge2 Ambient Air guides. You can read more about these Environmental Specifications in the manuals below.

The Dell XR5610 supports up to six cold swap fans, no matter the direction of airflow.

There are 2 fans right behind the drive backplane along with 3 fans on one side and 1 fan on the other. Supporting the fans are the two air shrouds. One for the PCIe slots and one for the CPU / DIMMS. If a part is not supplied a blank must take its spot to keep the ambient airflow as efficient as possible.

Memory

The system holds 8 x DDR5 RDIMM at speeds up to 4800 MT/s or with 1 DIMM per channel (DPC) 4400 MT/s. Mixing of any different memory module capacities in a system is not supported. Supported RDIMM configurations are 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 DIMMs.

Expansion Slots

Dell XR5610 Rack Server has a PCIe Riser 3A (R3A) and a OCP (FLOP) Riser. The PCIe Riser 3A has up to 2 x PCIe Gen5 (two x16 PCIe Gen5). The OCP 3.0 PCIe 4 x16 Riser is the only way to install an OCP card that provides networking for the server without taking up a vital PCIe slot.

Networking / OCP 3.0

The PowerEdge XR5610 system supports 4 port embedded LOM that provide 10/25 GbE SFP28. You can also install the OCP 3.0 Mezz PCIe 4.0 x16 card (optional). This OCP has a dedicated PCIe slot for the special OCP Flop riser. The OCP card can support up to 4 ports at speeds of 25GbE

NOTE: SmartNIC and PERC H965e or H355e cannot be installed simultaneously. Any storage card with an external port can only be supported in riser 3A slot 1.

Storage Controllers

The Dell XR5610 Rack Server supports PERC11 and PERC12 storage controllers. The Internal Controllers: PERC H965i, PERC H755, PERC H355, HBA355i can be installed in the R3A Riser. The system also supports the Boot Device BOSS-N1 Riser with 2x M.2 NVMe SSDs. This boot device frees up one of the 1 drives from being the dedicated boot drive.

NOTE: PERC H965i adapter can only be installed in slot 1 of riser 3A. Slot 2 must be empty.

GPU

The R3A riser supports up to 2 x 75 W/150 W (SW/FH/HL). This is what makes the sever ideal for video monitoring or Military workloads. Make sure to install the riser for GPU support.

Please read the ambient temperature tables in the manual below. GPUs are not supported in every setting and have some limitations.

A PCIe Cardholder will be installed when the Rugged Kit is selected on the CTO. This will ensure the card stays in place and is connected securely.

ECS Warranty Information

Express Computer Systems (ECS) provides a 1 year parts warranty against defects in material or workmanship that will affect the products functionality. All refurbished items are tested prior to shipping to guarantee up-time upon arrival. If you are having issues with an item we provided please Contact Us and we will do our best to assist you.

What does our ECS warranty cover?
We offer 1 year warranty as standard and additional years can be added to fit your needs. Please reach out to a sales associate via the Contact Us page or live chat for more information on extended coverage options. During the coverage period if your product fails we will offer a Next Business Day replacement. If we are unable to replace the product we will refund its original selling price. Shipping costs and tax are not refundable. Express Computer Systems retains the right to decide whether the goods will be replaced or refunded.

What is not covered by our warranty?
Our warranty does not cover any problem caused by the following conditions:

  1. accidents; misuse; carelessness; electrostatic discharge; shock; temperature or humidity beyond the specifications of the product; improper installation; operation; modification;
  2. any improper use that contravenes the instructions in the user manual;
  3. problems caused by other equipment. Our warranty is void if the product is returned with damaged, removed, counterfeit labels, or any modifications (including any component or external cover removal). Our warranties do not cover data loss or damages to any other equipment. In addition, our warranties do not cover incidental damages, consequential damages, or costs related to data recovery, removal, and installation.

Important notes:

  • Please ask for additional warranty/coverage that you may require in addition to the standard 1 ECS warranty prior to final purchase. Requesting additional warranty after your purchase can be denied.
