Flexible two-socket tower server for enterprise workloads outside of the traditional data center
The Dell EMC PowerEdge T550 balances expandability and performance and offers advanced technologies such as accelerators to address enterprise-class workloads.
The Dell EMC PowerEdge T550 Server, powered by the 3rd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, is an enterprise-class tower server that offers advanced technologies and support for accelerators. The PowerEdge T550 provides office-friendly acoustics, ease of management and expandability for growth and performance. Powerful and versatile, the PowerEdge T550 addresses business-critical workloads, cloud infrastructure, and database management as well as enterprise-level requirements for data analysis, virtualization, and AI/ML/inferencing.
The Dell EMC OpenManage systems management portfolio tames the complexity of managing and securing IT infrastructure. Using Dell Technologies’ intuitive end-to-end tools, IT can deliver a secure, integrated experience by reducing process and information silos in order to focus on growing the business. The Dell EMC OpenManage portfolio is the key to your innovation engine, unlocking the tools and automation that help you scale, manage, and protect your technology environment.
The Dell EMC Power Edge T550 Tower server is designed with a cyber-resilient architecture, integrating security deeply into every phase in the lifecycle, from design to retirement.
The PowerEdge T550, powered by 3rd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, is designed to address data-intensive workloads.
The Dell PowerEdge T550 has a fan cage that holds 8 Hot-Swap Standard fans. When GPU is selected, the standard fans will be replaced and the High-Performance (HPR) fan will be required. Along with upgraded fans, any GPU>75W must require fan redundancy (Fan quantity = 6 or 8).
There is no special GPU shroud like in some servers. There are also no external or extra fans besides those 8 in the fan cage. The only other cooling requirement is with the OCP shroud. No matter if the OCP is installed or not, the OCP shroud must be installed.

DIMM blanks are required for CPU TDP>185 W, but are not required for CPU TDP<=185 W.
