Heatsink & Fans & Liquid Colling

The R7525 has 6 Hot-Swappable fans and two types of heat sinks. You will need to install the L-Type heat sink and GPU shroud if any GPUs are installed.

The new liquid cooling solution provides an efficient method to manage the system temperature. It also provides a liquid leak detection mechanism via iDRAC. This technology is managed by the Liquid Leak Sensor(LLS) mechanism. LLS determines leaks as small as 0.02 ml or as large as 0.2 ml. Not all systems need Liquid Cooling, this is mainly for when GPUs are installed. Please read the manual for more information on this.

Storage Controllers

This system is unique because it has the S150 Software Raid that supports both SATA and NVMe drives. The system also has support for fPERCs with certain configurations. When choosing a PCIe Configuration. Check to see what type of PERC it supports. For more details, you can read the manual below.

GPU Options

The R7525 can hold up to 6 SW or 3 DW GPUs. Below you will see a few rules to follow with GPU installations.

  • 12 x 3.5-inch and 24 x 2.5-inch NVMe systems do not support GPU/FPGA cards.
  • All GPU/FPGA cards require an L-type heat sink and GPU shroud, irrespective of the length.
  • The GPU air shroud top cover is part of the GPU air shroud.
  • Low Profile and Full Height T4 cards are installed in order to support maximun 6 pcs T4 in x 16 slots.
