The Dell PowerEdge R7715 is a 2U single-socket rack server powered by one 5th Gen AMD EPYC 9005 Series processor with up to 160 cores. It supports 24 DDR5 DIMM slots (up to 6TB, speeds up to 5200 MT/s), up to eight PCIe Gen5 slots, two optional OCP 3.0 NICs, up to three double-width or six single-width GPUs and up to 40x EDSFF E3.S Gen5 NVMe, 24x 2.5-inch or 12x 3.5-inch drives, with air or Direct Liquid Cooling. Managed by iDRAC10, it suits data analytics, dense virtualization and software-defined storage. Fully configurable.

The R7715 is a single-socket 2U server that takes one 5th Gen AMD EPYC 9005 Series processor with up to 160 Zen 5 cores, using the same SP5 socket as the EPYC 9004 series in the previous-generation R7615.

It has 24 DDR5 RDIMM slots across 12 memory channels (two DIMMs per channel), for up to 6TB of memory. Speed is up to 5200 MT/s with one DIMM per channel and up to 4400 MT/s with two. Only registered ECC DDR5 DIMMs are supported.

The R7715 supports up to three double-width GPUs or up to six 75W single-width GPUs across its eight PCIe Gen5 slots. It is cooled by up to six hot-plug fans, with Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) available as an alternative to air cooling.

Front options include 12x 3.5-inch SAS/SATA; 8x 2.5-inch universal; 16 or 24x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA; 16x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA plus 8x U.2 NVMe; 2x U.2; or 8, 16, 32 or 40 EDSFF E3.S Gen5 NVMe drives. Boot is handled by BOSS-N1. Please specify your capacity needs when you submit your quote configuration.

The R7715 moves from an EPYC 9004 CPU with up to 128 cores to an EPYC 9005 CPU with up to 160 cores. It doubles DIMM slots from 12 to 24 (6TB max vs 3TB), raises memory speed from 4800 to 5200 MT/s, makes all eight PCIe slots Gen5, grows E3.S capacity from 32 to 40 drives, adds a second OCP 3.0 slot and upgrades to iDRAC10.
