The Dell ME4 Series 8FT DB9 to 3.5mm Stereo Plug Assembly Cable (part number 4R3WX) is an OEM serial console cable designed for Dell PowerVault ME4 storage arrays, including the ME4012, ME4024, and ME4084. It features a DB9 connector on one end and a 3.5mm stereo plug on the other, providing an 8-foot direct link from a laptop or USB-to-serial adapter to the array’s CLI port.
This cable enables essential out-of-band access for initial setup, password recovery, and troubleshooting when the Ethernet management interface is unavailable. It ships with new ME4 systems and is backward-compatible with select PowerVault SC series arrays such as the SC4020.
