HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 Base Knowledge
With 4 Chassis options and 2 Node servers that can be mixed. This Apollo 2000 Gen10 Rack Server can support whatever your system needs. The Apollo has an r2800 Chassis that can handle up to 16NVMe drives or the r2600 that has a mix of 16 SFF + 8 NVMe drives.

The server runs off (4) 1U XL170 or (2) 2U XL190 Node Servers that are plugged in the back with 2 PSU of your choice. These server Nodes can be mixed in a single chassis. If there are any tray slots open. It must be filled with the Blank Tray (874309-B21) for cooling reasons. With such robust power coming from the nodes this system comes standard with 4 fans but has the option to install extra fans (874308-B21) for redundancy. Dual-rotor fan (882107-001) 9–10 must be installed if the 1800 W–2200 W power supply is installed and connected with this Fan power cable (882172-001).

HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 NVMe Drives
NVMe drives are supported on two of the Chassis options. The r2600 and the r2800 16NVMe version. The NVMe drives are supported only in certain Drive Bays for both the r2600 and the r2800 chassis. There is also a bit of a difference in which drive bay support NVMe whether you are connecting the drives to a type-P Smart Array controller or not. Please look at the manual below for more details.
If you have chosen the r2800 16NVMe chassis, each node server has a certain number of drives allocated to them. Each XL170 1U Node Server is allocated 4 NVMe drives, while the XL190 2U Node server is allocated 8 NVMe per server.

HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 PCI Risers
The XL170r has 2 x16 PCI-3 3.0 slots. The second slot can be used either for a Low-Profile PCIe card or for the FlexibleLOM network adapters that are supported.

The ProLiant XL190r Gen10 server has the same configuration options as the XL170r for CPU and memory but has additional PCIe slots in multiple configurations providing support for additional expansion cards and support for two (2) accelerators per server.

HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 Cooling
The HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 server comes with 4 Rotor fans as standard with the option to install another 4 fans (874308-B21) for redundancy. Dual-rotor fan (882107-001) 9–10 must be installed if the 1800 W–2200 W power supply is installed and these Fans are powered by this power cable (882172-001).

HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 GPU / Workload Accelerator
Only the XL190r Gen10 Node Server can accommodate Accelerators. New to the XL190r Gen10 is the 4xGPU Riser Kit (P19233-B21). This Riser Kit Supports up to 4 GPUs per XL190r node for a total of 8 GPUs per Apollo 2000 Gen10 Rack server. Please read up on what each slot can support what cards/adapters by reading the spec manual for the HPE XL190r Gen10. A few of the risers have cable kits that must be required during certain configurations.

HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 Flex Slot your power!
Do not mix power supplies with different efficiency and wattage in the chassis. Install only one type of power supply. Verify that all power supplies have the same part number and label color. The system becomes unstable and may shut down when it detects mismatched power supplies.

What does our ECS warranty cover?
We offer 1 year warranty as standard and additional years can be added to fit your needs. Please reach out to a sales associate via the Contact Us page or live chat for more information on extended coverage options. During the coverage period if your product fails we will offer a Next Business Day replacement. If we are unable to replace the product we will refund its original selling price. Shipping costs and tax are not refundable. Express Computer Systems retains the right to decide whether the goods will be replaced or refunded.

What is not covered by our warranty?
Our warranty does not cover any problem caused by the following conditions:

  1. accidents; misuse; carelessness; electrostatic discharge; shock; temperature or humidity beyond the specifications of the product; improper installation; operation; modification;
  2. any improper use that contravenes the instructions in the user manual;
  3. problems caused by other equipment. Our warranty is void if the product is returned with damaged, removed, counterfeit labels, or any modifications (including any component or external cover removal). Our warranties do not cover data loss or damages to any other equipment. In addition, our warranties do not cover incidental damages, consequential damages, or costs related to data recovery, removal, and installation.
