The refurbished HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen9 server is an affordable single-socket tower server that features value performance, expansion, and growth that is ideal for small businesses and remote branch offices.

The ML30 Gen 9 HPE Tower Server has a few Drive Options in this 1 Socket configuration. Depending on the Storage controller installed, you can have either 4 SATA/SAS LFF Drives or 8 SATA/SAS HDD/SSD SFF Drives. This Server has 4 PCIe slot in the back of the tower. Please take note as to what card you're installing into what spot. Slot 4 is a x16PCI-e while slot 3/2 are x4PCI-e and slot 1 is a x8PCI-e. All of this is powered by either a Non-Hot Swap 350W (E-star 1.0/2.0) PSU or a redundant configuration with 1 or 2 Hot Swap 460W PSU CS Gold with hot swap PSU backplane. When the Redundant PSU backplane is installed 1 media tray slots can't be installed.

Memory Options | (4) UDIMMs
General Memory Population Rules and Guidelines:
  • The HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen9 Server has four memory slots
  • There are two channels per server with two DIMM slots per channel
  • Memory channel 1 consists of the two (2) DIMMs that are closest to the processor
  • Memory channel 2 consists of the two (2) DIMMs that are furthest from the processor
  • Support for single/dual-rank 2133 MT/s ECC UDIMM (unbuffered DIMMS)
  • The server supports up to 64 GB (4 x 16-GB) for Unbuffered DIMMs
  • No support for LRDIMMs; RDIMMs; Non-ECC UDIMMs
  • Do not install DIMMs if the processor is not installed
  • Populate DIMMs from heaviest load (double-rank) to lightest load (single-rank)
  • Non-ECC DIMMs are not supported
  • Always use HPE qualified DIMMs
