HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID will operate in UEFI mode only. For legacy support an additional controller will be needed, and for CTO orders please also select the Legacy mode settings part, 758959-B22.
HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID is off by default and must be enabled. For enabling please select HPE FIO Enable Smart Array SW RAID (784308-B21).
The S100i supports 4 SATA ports for drive cage and additional 2 SATA ports for drives from media drive bays.

HPE Trusted Platform Module 2.0 option works with Gen10 servers with UEFI Mode not LegacyMode.

Power Supply Unit (PSU)

Mixing of 2 different power supplies is NOT allowed.
To install, the redundant power system you'll need the cage and the backplane.
If you install a GPU, you will need to upgrade to the 500W PSU.

Cable Kit (Optional)

P408i-p or E208i-p Must select 1pc of Mini SAS Cable Kit (P06307-B21) for 4LFF Hot Plug Server.
P408i-p or E208i-p Must select 2pcs of Mini SAS Cable Kit (P06307-B21) for 8SFF Hot Plug Server.

Each comes with 4 PCIe 3.0 Slots, the stand Embedded S100i SW RAID with 4 SATA ports (can have support for 6 SATA drives with 2pcs drive enablement kits (812248-B21)), and an embedded HPE Ethernet 1Gb 2-Port 361i Adapter optional 1/10Gb standup card . Processor Options | (1) Intel® Xeon® E-2100/2200

The HPE ML30 GEn 10 supports latest Intel® Xeon® E-2200 processors up to 6 cores and up to 83W, 9th Gen Core™ i3 and Pentium® G processors. There are some limitations to a few of the CPUs. Read the manual for all the rules and requirements.

Limitations
  • System Board (P19337-001) Embedded with HPE 361i 1Gb 2-Port Network Adapter and only supports the Intel Xeon E-2200 Family/Intel Core i3-9100/Intel Pentium Gold G5420 processor.
  • VMware supported only with Intel® Xeon® E processors, not supported with Intel® Core™ or Pentium® processors
  • GPUs can only be used when a Xeon E processor is selected.
Tower-to-Rack Conversion

The HPE ML30 Tower server can easily be converted into a Rack server by simply adding the HPE ML Gen10 Tower to Rack Conversion Kit with Sliding Rail Rack Shelf and Cable Management Arm (874578-B21).

This kit is everything you need to get “Sliding”. This rail kit comes with the rail tray that the server sits on top of and is mounted to from the back. The server tray is that actual piece mounted to the rails that slide out for easy access to the server.

Flex Hot-Plug Power Supply Enablement Kit

To go from the 300W Non-Hot-Plug Power Supply Unit (PSU) (P21652-B21) to the Flex Slot Platinum 500W Power Supply Unit (PSU) (865408-B21). You’ll need the enablement cage (686665-001) and the Flexible Slot power supply backplane (P07479-001) . If you only install one of the Hot-Plug Redundant Power Supplies, then you’ll also need the Flexible Slot Power Supply Blank (775423-001) to keep the airflow optimal.

EU countries

Starting March 1st, 2020, only the 350W Gold-level PSU (power supply) and the 500W PSU meet the European Union (EU) Lot 9 regulation requirement for CE marking. Do not order the Bronze-level 350W PSU (820303-B21) in countries that require CE marking, especially the EU countries.

What Graphics Accelerators Can Be Used?

First off the GPUs can only be used when a Xeon E processor is selected. These are not allowed with the Non-Hot-Plug Chassis system.

How to Keep Cool?

If you install the M.2 SSD dedicated iLO module (P06687-B21), any PCI-e Cards or you select the 4 LFF Hot-Plug or the 8 SFF Hot-Plug Chassis. Then the HPE ML30 Gen10 Front PCI Fan and Baffle Kit (P06303-B21) is required. Except if you choose the Non-Hot-Plug Chassis with the E208e-p controller and 1Gb network adapters.
