The Dell PowerVault MD3820f is a powerful storage system that can support up to 24 2.5" HDD/SSD and up to 32 servers directly connected per controller (maximum 64 hosts). You can maximize performance with 16Gb Fibre Channel (FC), 4GB, or 8GB cache per controller, and SSD support. Single and dual controller models are available, with a maximum of 16GB (8GB per controller).

With four 16Gb Fibre Channel ports per controller, you can enjoy high-speed connectivity and improved performance with double the existing bandwidth. The MD3 series also offers 8GB cache on dual controller options in Fibre Channel, providing up to 16GB total cache per array. You get high availability and high performance without sacrificing ease of use, which is synonymous with the PowerVault MD family.
The Dell PowerVault MD3 series lets you mix and match drives to create a tiered storage environment that meets your specific requirements. You can scale up to 120 drives with MD1200 and/or MD1220 expansion enclosures, ensuring that your storage needs are met as your business grows.
