The Dell PowerVault ME412 is an exceptional storage array that offers high-speed data transfer and ample cache memory for optimal performance. With 8GB of cache in the 12 3.5" HDDs chassis, this storage array is designed to meet the needs of small businesses that require a reliable and efficient storage solution.
PowerVault ME412 and ME424 expansion enclosures can only be used with either ME*012 or ME*024 base arrays.
3 port 12Gb SAS Expansion Module
6 x 12Gb SAS ports per array
These same chassis form factors are used for the supported expansion enclosures; but with I/O modules instead of controller modules. To make this system an expansion Array you simply need to install the 3-port 12Gb IOM SAS Module in the rear of the system. With this new I/O Module installed you can daisy chain up to 9 2U or 3 5U Systems to the ME4024 SAN Storage Array.
