The HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 Server is a high-density, 2U platform designed for performance and scalability. It supports up to four hot-plug ProLiant Gen10 servers per chassis, powered by Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 26 cores and 1.5 TB of DDR4 SmartMemory. With flexible storage options, including up to 24 SFF SAS/SATA or NVMe drives, and advanced networking like 100 Gb/s InfiniBand, it excels in demanding workloads such as HPC, AI/ML, and big data analytics, making it ideal for scalable enterprise and edge applications.
A chassis requires that four (4) server tray slots be populated with either the server nodes or an HPE Apollo 2000 Server Tray Blank Kit.

HPE Apollo r2800 Chassis w/ ExpanderThe HPE Apollo r2800 Chassis with the Expander Backplane offers flexible drive mapping, enabling custom allocations across server nodes to meet workload demands. It supports SAS and SATA hard drives, but only SAS drives are used when both types are selected in RAID configurations. Ideal for adaptable storage needs.

NVMe drives are supported on two of the Chassis options. The r2600 and the r2800 16NVMe version. In the r2600 the same backplane is used for the 24 SFF or the 16SFF+8NVMe. To support the NVMe you will need to install one of the following Riser Kits:
- HPE XL170r Gen10 16NVMe P2 LP Riser Kit (874304-B21)
- HPE XL190r Gen10 16NVMe FLOM Riser Kit (874849-B21)
The NVMe drives are supported only in certain Drive Bays for both the r2600 and the r2800 chassis.

The HPE XL170r Gen10 has 2 x16 PCI-3 3.0 slots. The second slot can be used either for a Low-Profile PCIe card or for the FlexibleLOM network adapters that are supported.
The HPE XL190r Gen10 server has the same configuration options as the XL170r for CPU and memory but has additional PCIe slots in multiple configurations providing support for additional expansion cards and support for (4) accelerators per XL190r Node server.

The HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 server comes with 4 Rotor fans as standard with the option to install another 4 fans (874308-B21) for redundancy. Dual-rotor fan (882107-001) 9–10 must be installed if the 1800 W–2200 W power supply is installed and these Fans are powered by this power cable (882172-001).
- Fans 1–4 are the default system fans.
- Fans 5–8 are available through the redundant fan option kit.
- The dual-rotor fan 9–10 is required when installing the HPE 1800W–2200W Flex Slot Platinum Hotplug Power Supply.

HP Apollo 2000 Rack Consolidation Module Kit (798211-B21) is an optional RCM (Rack Consolidation Management) module kit that allows iLO aggregation at the chassis level and also has the port for the HPE APM. The RCM Module consists of 2 iLO ports for redundancy. It can also be daisy-chained to connect to a Top of the Rack (TOR) management switch. If using the RCM module iLO port or the dedicated iLO management port module to connect to a network, the network must operate at a speed of 1Gb/s.

The HPE Advanced Power Manager (APM) now called Apollo Platform Manager Kit (741192-B21) is an optional rack-level management solution designed to enhance power efficiency and simplify hardware management. It automatically discovers hardware components and provides server-level power control, including power on/off, server metering, dynamic power capping, and configurable power-up dependencies and sequencing. APM consolidates Ethernet access to all resident iLOs, supports asset management, and offers rack-level event logging, RADIUS authentication, and an integrated serial concentrator. Additional features include support for up to 11 local user accounts, a read-only service port, and compatibility with SNMP, SSH, Syslogd, and Telnet protocols.
Note: If using the RCM module iLO port or the dedicated iLO management port module to connect to a network, the network must operate at a speed of 1Gb/s.

The HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10 server features a versatile and efficient power system with hot-swappable, redundant PSUs ranging from 500W to 1600W, supported by Advanced Power Management (APM) and Redundant Configuration Management (RCM) for dynamic power distribution and seamless redundancy.
