Default Controller HP Dynamic Smart Array B120i SATA Controller (RAID 0/1/10) and can support up to 4 SATA drives.
A SAS controller is required to support more than 4 drives and support SAS drives.
Hot Plug 6LFF CTO Server Only (P/N 664044-B21)
HP Hot-Plug 4LFF Shield Metal FIO Kit must be selected if a SAS controller is not in the order. This FIO kit enables to use 6LFF hot plug chassis as 4LFF hot plug with embedded SATA controller. Shield metal kit must be selected if SAS controller is not required in case of 6LFF hot-plug chassis.
(659485-B21) - 1 or 2 additional LFF cages can be added to bring the total drive count to 12 or 18, respectively. A Smart Array Controller is required for each additional drive cage and must be purchased as well.
