The Dell PowerEdge R360 comes with a Dedicated Adapter PERC slot. Also, supports Front PERCs on the drive cage. With these two options, you are bound to find the Storage configuration to fit your needs.
When installing a Front PERC, you will need to install the PERC module that provides the correct data signal from the Dedicated PERC slot to the front storage controller. View more by looking up the cableing diagram in the Tech Manual below.

The Dell PowerEdge R360 has two options for Boot with the recommended method being the BOSS-N1 with (2) M.2 NVMe SSD Drives. The Boot Optimized Storage Subsystem (BOSS) is hot-swappable and sits in the rear of the system next to the two 60mm PSUs. The internal USB has a dedicated slot on the system board as well.
