With a single chassis configuration and a total rack height of 6U, it features dual controllers in a high-availability (HA) setup, ensuring continuous operation. Powered by four 64-bit 4-core 2.26 GHz processors and 96GB of HA memory, the system delivers robust performance for demanding workloads.
The FAS6220 offers extensive connectivity options, including 4x 1Gb RJ45 and 8x 10Gb SFP Ethernet ports, along with 8x 8Gb Fibre Channel ports. It supports up to 1200 drives with a maximum storage capacity of 9.6PB, accommodating various drive types such as FC, MSATA, SATA, NL-SAS, SAS, and SSD. The system’s RAID support includes RAID 4 and RAID 6 (RAID-DP), ensuring data protection and redundancy.
Designed for expandability, the system includes 10 PCIe expansion slots and supports multiple disk shelf models, including DS14-Mk2-AT, DS14-Mk4-FC, DS2246, DS4243, DS4246, and DS4486. The chassis measures 10.18 inches in height, 17.59 inches in width, and 29 inches in depth with cable management. With a maximum weight of 128.5 lbs, the FAS6220 is built to integrate seamlessly into enterprise data center environments.
