With its large cache memory configurations, expandable high-performance I/O, 4Gb FC SAN support, and support for 10GbE, the FAS3050 delivers exceptional midrange systems performance. The FAS3050 comes with SnapShot which provides superior availability along with storage resiliency features, and disaster recovery options. Resilient features such as RAID-DP (High-performance RAID6 ), ensures that the FAS3050 storage system is always up and running.

The FAS3050 can use both high-performance Fibre Channel and low-cost SATA disk drives for primary and secondary storage while seamlessly consolidating block and file storage on the same system. This is made possible through the native support of the FCP, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS storage protocols via Fibre Channel or Ethernet interfaces.
