Cisco C220 M6 Drive Options (Optional)

Default is the AHCI 8 SATA-only drive setup (8 internal drives in drive bays 1-8 and 2 SATA M.2 drives)
The AHCI requiers the HWRAID component.
Note that if the following Cisco 12G SAS RAID controller or Cisco 12G SAS HBA is selected, it is factory-installed in a dedicated slot.

Drives HDD SAS/SATA (Optional)

By Default the system comes with the AHCI a SATA Interposer which supports up to 8 SATA drives and 2 M.2 Drives. If you have choosen a different drive option above. Your system can hold 10 SAS or SATA drives, Or 6 SAS / SATA drives and 4 NVMe drives.
SED drives can be mixed with the non-SED drives
Please read the manual for installing the drive in the correct slots.

Riser Options

One to three half-height PCIe risers, or One to two full-height PCIe risers are supported. You must have 2 CPUs for Riser 3 to work or for Riser 2 to have a x16 slot for the full height Riser.

Byond the 3 PCIe 4.0 slots there is also 1 dedicated 12-Gbps RAID controller or SAS pass-through HBA slot and 1 dedicated mLOM slot. The UCS C220 M6 server has two LOM ports (10Gbase-T LOM) and a single 1 GbE management port. The Dedicated mLOM slot can flexibly accommodate 10/25/40, and 100-Gbps adapters. The system also has an Embedded Network Interface Cards (NICs) Dual 10GBASE-T Intel x550 Ethernet ports.
