The ultra-compact, one-socket Dell PowerEdge R210 is a great first rack server for small businesses or as a specialized application server for larger corporations.

The Dell PowerEdge R210 was developed with a purposeful design, energy-optimized technology, simplified systems management, and flexibility that make it a great first rack server for small businesses or as a specialized application server or edge server for larger corporations.

Dell’s entry 1-socket 1U rack server, the PowerEdge R210, offers value, the performance of Intel Xeon processors 3400 series, DDR3 memory, eSATA external storage expandability, and enterprise-class manageability. Dell aims to add value to your business by including the features you need without a lot of unnecessary extras. Our goal is to deliver value through tailored solutions based on industry standards, as well as the purposeful, innovative design of our servers. The PowerEdge R210 was created to meet the needs of many IT environments with a reliable, compact design, optional advanced systems management capabilities, and energy efficiency.

Purposeful Design

The PowerEdge R210 follows the 11th generation PowerEdge portfolio specifications and features the same system design commonality and reliability true to our entire portfolio. All 11th-generation PowerEdge servers are built to make your experience easier. We put all external ports, power supplies, and LED lights in the same location for a familiar experience as well as easy installation and deployment.

Robust, metal hard drive carriers and organized cabling are designed to help improve component access and airflow across the server. The PowerEdge R210’s design also provides an LED display positioned on the front of the server for ease of monitoring and troubleshooting the condition of the server. It was designed to meet the needs of many IT environments with a short chassis to allow for flexible deployment almost anywhere, including space-constrained environments.

Deliver powerful performance

Accelerate compute performance across a wide range of applications with a processor from the latest Intel Xeon processor E3-1200 v6 product family. Drive 50% faster clock speed with enhanced DDR4 memory compared to DDR3 which is 12.5% faster than the initial 2133 MT/s implementation of DDR4. Boost I/O data throughput with 2 x PCIe 3.0 slots driving 2x data throughput compared to PCIe 2.0. Deliver 2x IOPS performance with R230/PERC9 compared to the previous-generation R220/PERC8.

Energy-Optimized Technology

The PowerEdge R210 incorporates an Energy Smart design using a low 250-watt power supply, highly efficient fans and logical component layout of the internal components which aids with airflow direction, helping to keep the server cool and reduce noise as much as possible. The result is a server with the smallest power footprint within the 11th-generation PowerEdge server portfolio.

Simplified Systems Management

With the optional advanced embedded systems management capabilities of Lifecycle Controller, Dell brings comprehensive enterprise-class manageability into the 1-socket space. The Lifecycle Controller is delivered as part of the optional iDRAC Express or iDRAC Enterprise in the PowerEdge R210. The Lifecycle Controller helps to simplify administrator tasks by performing a comprehensive set of provisioning functions such as system deployment, system updates, hardware configuration and diagnostics from a single intuitive interface called Unified Server Configurator (USC) in a pre-OS environment. This helps eliminate the need to use and maintain multiple pieces of disparate CD/ DVD media.
