The Cisco NIM-1MFT-T1/E1 is a versatile 1-port Multiflex Trunk Voice/Clear-Channel Data T1/E1 Module designed for integration with Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISRs). This module supports both T1 and E1 interfaces, accommodating various data and voice applications. It enables clear-channel data transmission and facilitates voice connectivity, making it suitable for environments requiring flexible communication solutions. The NIM-1MFT-T1/E1 is part of Cisco's fourth-generation NIMs and is compatible with platforms such as the Cisco 4451, 4431, 4351, 4331, and 4321 ISRs.

The Cisco NIM-1MFT-T1/E1 module supports both T1 and E1 digital interfaces, enabling flexible voice and data connectivity on Cisco 4000 Series routers. T1, commonly used in North America and Japan, operates at 1.544 Mbps with 24 channels, while E1, standard in Europe and most other regions, runs at 2.048 Mbps with 32 channels (30 for data/voice and 2 for signaling). These interfaces are used to connect PBX systems, support digital voice lines, and enable WAN links using protocols like HDLC or Frame Relay. The module auto-adjusts between T1 and E1, offering seamless integration across global deployments.
