The Dell Force10 MXL 10/40 GbE switch is a converged Ethernet module designed for the PowerEdge M1000E blade chassis. It features 32 internal ports that operate at either 1GbE or 10GbE and two fixed 40GbE QSFP+ uplink ports on the base module, which can also be configured for breakout into 4 x 10GbE.
This switch supports two additional FlexIO expansion modules for enhanced external connectivity, including 10GbE SFP+, 10GBASE-T, or 40GbE QSFP+. With 320Gb stacking across up to six switches, it delivers scalable bandwidth and supports iSCSI, FCoE (transit), and PVST+ protocols for flexible and high-performance data center integration.
