The Dell VRTX 8-Port 1Gb I/O Module Switch (R1-2401) | H4THX is a dedicated Layer 2 Ethernet switch designed specifically for the Dell PowerEdge VRTX chassis. With eight 10/100/1000 Mbps ports, this module supports both internal east-west communication across compute nodes and north-south traffic to external networks via traditional uplinks.

Equipped with both GUI and CLI for configuration, the R1-2401 module allows flexible switch management and VLAN segmentation. All internal ports (gi 1/1 through gi 4/4) function as if they were part of a conventional rack-mounted switch, making it ideal for integrated virtualization and converged infrastructure environments. Note: The out-of-band (OOB) management IP must reside on a different subnet than any port or VLAN interface configured on the switch.

Compatible With:
  • Dell vrtx
