Powerful Performance

Built on the Gen8 features of the ProActive Insight architecture, the HP BL660c Gen8 offers improvements in performance, memory, networking, I/O, storage, and management.

It supports up to four E5-4600 processors, up to four 10 Gb FlexFabric ports with the Gen8 FlexibleLOM solution and 1.0 TB of Gen8 HP SmartMemory (SmartMemory uses less power but without impact to performance), and comes with three PCIe 3.0 expansion slots (two x 16, one x 8).

Gen8 embedded Smart Array P220i RAID controller supports the HP Smart Storage and SmartDrive carrier, and a choice of a very wide section of hot plug SAS, SATA, SAS SSD, and SATA SSD hard drives.

With all this infrastructure in a box, you can handle more data-demanding virtualization, database, business processing, decision support, and HPC applications.

HP SmartMemory is required to realize the memory performance improvements and enhanced functionality listed in this document for Gen8. Click here for additional information on HP SmartMemory . LRDIMMs and RDIMMs are distinct memory technologies and cannot be mixed within a server.Depending on the memory configuration and processor model, the memory speed may run at 1600 MHz, 1333 MHz or 1066 MHz.

4. FlexibleLOM options include 10Gb FlexFabric, 10Gb Flex-10, and 10Gb Ethernet.FlexFabric capabilities require the use of an HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric module. The server supports one or two FlexibleLOMs, which must be identical. For Pre-configured Model configurations, two FlexibleLOMs are already included; no additional FLexibeLOMs are added.For a Factory Integrated Model configuration with one FlexibleLOM, it is added in the HP Networking section of "Step 2" in the Factory Integrated Models section. For a Factory Integrated Model configuration with two FlexibleLOMs, the second FlexibleLOM (although same technology) is a different part number. User must select the first FlexibleLOM in the "Step 2" HP Networking section and select the second FlexibleLOM in the "Step 4" HP Networking section. All FlexibleLOMs are dual port: one port is routed to interconnect module bay 1 and the other to bay 2.

5. The HP Smart Array P220i includes 512MB flash-backed write cache (FBWC) supporting RAID 0 and 1 on pre-configured models and is optional on factory integrated models.The HPE Smart Array P220i supports upgradeable firmware with recovery ROM. The HP Smart Array P220i supports two (2) small form factor (SFF) hot plug drive bays.

6. The ProLiant BL660c Gen8 server includes the new HP hot plug small form factor (SFF) SmartDrive carrier for enhanced management and reduced maintenance errors. HP drives from previous generation servers are not compatible with the ProLiant BL660c Gen8 drive bays.The mixing of standard SAS drives with SAS SSD drives is supported within the server, but limits the RAID configuration to two separate RAID 0 volumes. Mixing of other drives types is not supported.

7. The above options are for integrated hypervisor virtualization environments needing a low cost boot solution with the highest performance and reliability.

All refurbished items are tested prior to shipping to guarantee up-time upon arrival. If you are having issues with an item we provided please Contact Us and we will do our best to assist you.

What does our ECS warranty cover?
We offer 1 year warranty as standard and additional years can be added to fit your needs. Please reach out to a sales associate via the Contact Us page or live chat for more information on extended coverage options. During the coverage period if your product fails we will offer a Next Business Day replacement. If we are unable to replace the product we will refund its original selling price. Shipping costs and tax are not refundable. Express Computer Systems retains the right to decide whether the goods will be replaced or refunded.

What is not covered by our warranty?
Our warranty does not cover any problem caused by the following conditions:

  1. accidents; misuse; carelessness; electrostatic discharge; shock; temperature or humidity beyond the specifications of the product; improper installation; operation; modification;
  2. any improper use that contravenes the instructions in the user manual;
  3. problems caused by other equipment. Our warranty is void if the product is returned with damaged, removed, counterfeit labels, or any modifications (including any component or external cover removal). Our warranties do not cover data loss or damages to any other equipment. In addition, our warranties do not cover incidental damages, consequential damages, or costs related to data recovery, removal, and installation.
