HPE D6020 Gen9 Base Knowledge
The HPE D6020 is a 12Gb/s SAS Disk Shelf that works with many Blades Sever and Switches. When referring to the Apollo 4500 Line. Only the HPE Apollo 4520 Rack Server can support the D6020 Disk Shelf. Up to 70 SAS, SAS MDL, or Solid State 3.5" hot-plug hard drives can be supported per D6020, or up to 210 drives when three D6020s are daisy-chained together. This D6020 Includes four redundant hot-plug fans and 4 hot-plug PSUs.

A single BladeSystem enclosure supports up to six D6020s externally.

HPE D6020 Gen9 I/0 Ports
Each D6020 comes with 2 I/O Modules, add HPE D6020 Dual I/O Module Option Kit (K2Q23A) option kit to the K2Q28A when using dual-ported SAS drives to create a dual-domain environment.

HPE D6020 Gen9 Power and Cooling
The HPE D6020 Enclosure includes four hot-plug 1200W Common Slot power supplies for n+2 redundancy and four hot-plug fans for n+1 redundancy. The increasing power of new high-performance processor technology requires increased cooling efficiency for rack-mounted servers. The 10000 Series Racks provide enhanced airflow for maximum cooling, allowing these racks to be fully loaded with servers using the latest processors. A D6020 fully loaded with drives weighs 320 lbs. So, it is very important to get the correct rack to host the server.
