The PowerEdge R260 system supports up to a maximum of six fans, five Standard (STD), and one High performance (HPR) cooling fan based on the system configuration. These fans are not hot-swappable. The Number of fans changes based on which Chassis you select. When the 6 x 2.5" Chassis is selected. Two more Fans slots must be filled behind the drive cage. The one high performance Fan is required when the BOSS-N1 Module is installed.

BOSS-N1 NVMe Module

The Boot Optimized Storage Sub-system is the perfect way to load the OS on this server. Otherwise, you will have to allocate 1 of the drives. This is not ideal when the storage in the system is so limited and the mixing of drive types is not supported. The BOSS module has a dedicated slot with 2 Hot-Swap M.2 Drives.

Internal USB

The Second option is an embedded USB slot on the system board. This USB drive can handle any OS you need to load. View the Manual for more information on the internal USB.

Storage Controllers

Dell's RAID controller options offer performance improvements, including the Adapter PERC solution. Adapter PERC provides a base RAID HW controller without consuming a PCIe slot by using a small form factor and high-density connector to the base planar.

The Adapter PERC (aPERC) can only be installed in one of the PCIe slots. You must install the RC1 Butterfly Riser that supports 2 PCIe 4.0 slots.

All refurbished items are tested prior to shipping to guarantee up-time upon arrival. If you are having issues with an item we provided please Contact Us and we will do our best to assist you.

What does our ECS warranty cover?
We offer 1 year warranty as standard and additional years can be added to fit your needs. Please reach out to a sales associate via the Contact Us page or live chat for more information on extended coverage options. During the coverage period if your product fails we will offer a Next Business Day replacement. If we are unable to replace the product we will refund its original selling price. Shipping costs and tax are not refundable. Express Computer Systems retains the right to decide whether the goods will be replaced or refunded.

What is not covered by our warranty?
Our warranty does not cover any problem caused by the following conditions:

accidents; misuse; carelessness; electrostatic discharge; shock; temperature or humidity beyond the specifications of the product; improper installation; operation; modification;
any improper use that contravenes the instructions in the user manual;
problems caused by other equipment. Our warranty is void if the product is returned with damaged, removed, counterfeit labels, or any modifications (including any component or external cover removal). Our warranties do not cover data loss or damages to any other equipment. In addition, our warranties do not cover incidental damages, consequential damages, or costs related to data recovery, removal, and installation.
