Memory Supported
The R750 supports up to 32 DIMMs, with maximum capacity around 12 TB per system for 8x512 GB Intel Optane PersistentMemory 200 Series and 8x 256 GB LRDIMM connected to per CPU and speeds of up to 3200MT/s.
The R750 supports registered (RDIMMs) and load reduced DIMMs (LRDIMMs) which use a buffer to reduce memory loadingand provide greater density, allowing for the maximum platform memory capacity. Unbuffered DIMMs (UDIMMs) are notsupported.

Expansion PCIe Riser
There are many PCI configurations. The Dell R750 can hold up to (6) GPUs with access to up to 8 PCIe Gen 4.0 slots. Many drive configurations support Dual PERC controllers. Either 2 fPERCs or 1 fPERC and 1 aPERC.
With so many configurations its hard to explain them all, please view the tech manual below for more detailed information about each configuration.
For example, If you want to install 16 NVMe drives on the 16 Bay Chassis. You will have to install Configuration 7. This is the only configuration where the Paddle cards are installed. These Paddle Card provide the extra PCIe lanes needed for the Direct attached NVMe Configuration.
