The Dell PowerEdge R730xd 24-Bay Rear Flex Backplane Kit is designed specifically for the 24-Bay SFF (2.5") chassis version of the R730xd. It enables support for two additional rear-mounted 3.5" SAS or SATA drives, expanding the system's total capacity.
This rear flex kit is not compatible with the 12-bay LFF chassis and is purpose-built for the 24-bay configuration. It integrates with the server's RAID or HBA controller and installs cleanly in the rear bay, supporting hot-swap operation and optimized airflow.
