Built for edge applications that need high bandwidth and low latency—like vRAN and future 6G deployments—the HPE ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 delivers dense I/O with PCIe Gen5 speed, acceleration, and powerful compute from Intel® Xeon® 6 SoC processors, all on open, standards-compliant infrastructure.
The Intel Xeon 6 6716P-B SoC is soldered on the system board. It combines 40 cores, on-die networking, Intel vRAN Boost, media acceleration, and AMX on every core (up to 3.2× better RAN AI performance per core) with PCIe Gen5, delivering high-bandwidth, low-latency compute without needing separate accelerators or discrete networking cards.

The DL110 Gen12 uses Intel Virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) as its software RAID solution for the dual onboard NVMe M.2 SSDs.
VROC runs directly on the Xeon 6 SoC, delivering high-performance RAID 0 or RAID 1 without a separate hardware RAID controller. This keeps latency extremely low and preserves full PCIe bandwidth—critical for edge and vRAN workloads.
VROC is disabled by default and requires a license (RAID 1 or Premium). Once licensed, it provides a clean, CPU-integrated way to protect or stripe the two M.2 drives for boot or high-speed local storage.
The DL110 Gen12 ships with eight onboard 10/25GbE SFP28 ports built directly into the system.
These front-accessible ports deliver full 25GbE bandwidth with ultra-low latency, eliminating the need for any add-in network card for core connectivity. They are purpose-designed for the high-density, deterministic traffic of vRAN and edge workloads, giving the server immediate high-bandwidth networking right out of the box.

The DL110 Gen12 uses a purpose-built reverse-airflow design with a short-depth, front-cabled chassis. Air moves front-to-rear and every major connection (networking, power, management, and I/O) is accessible from the front, making the server ideal for dense telco and edge racks where rear access is limited.
