It enables compute sleds like the MX740c, MX750c, and MX840c to access drives located in the shared storage sleds, enhancing flexibility and resource allocation across the chassis.
Supporting both shared mode and drive-assigned mode, the HBA330 MX allows multiple compute sleds to access a single storage sled when using a cluster-aware operating system. In drive-assigned mode, disks are individually assigned to a compute sled for dedicated access, providing versatile options for storage management without traditional RAID configurations.
