Tower-to-Rack Conversion

The HPE ML30 Tower server can easily be converted into a Rack server by simply adding the HPE ML Gen10 Tower to Rack Conversion Kit (874578-B21). This kit is everything you need to get “Sliding”. This rail kit comes with the rail tray that the server sits on top of and is mounted to from the back. The server tray is that actual piece mounted to the rails that slide out for easy access to the server.

Which Chassis should I choose?
HPE has provided three different CTO models to choose from. Each comes with 4 PCIe 3.0 Slots, the stand Embedded S100i SW RAID with 4 SATA ports (can have support for 6 SATA drives with 2pcs drive enablement kits (812248-B21)), and an embedded HPE Ethernet 1Gb 2-Port 361i Adapter optional 1/10Gb standup card . Only the Hot-Plug Chassis can have the choice of a Smart Array along with or instead of the S100i. If you’re not sure what chassis would work best, contact us today.

We need more Power!
Starting March 1st, 2020, only the 350W Gold-level PSU (power supply) and the 500W PSU meet the European Union (EU) Lot 9 regulation requirement for CE marking. Do not order the Bronze-level 350W PSU (820303-B21) in countries that require CE marking, especially the EU countries.

Flex Hot-Plug Power Supply Enablement Kit
To go from the 300W Non-Hot-Plug Power Supply Unit (PSU) (P21652-B21) to the Flex Slot Platinum 500W Power Supply Unit (PSU) (865408-B21). You’ll need the enablement cage (686665-001) and the Flexible Slot power supply backplane (P07479-001) . If you only install one of the Hot-Plug Redundant Power Supplies, then you’ll also need the Flexible Slot Power Supply Blank (775423-001) to keep the airflow optimal.

What Graphics Accelerators Can Be Used?
First off the GPUs can only be used when a Xeon E processor is selected. These are not allowed with the Non-Hot-Plug Chassis system.

Then the HPE ML30 Gen10 Front PCI Fan and Baffle Kit (P06303-B21) is required. Except if you choose the Non-Hot-Plug Chassis with the E208e-p controller and 1Gb network adapters.

Cost of shipping varies depending on what service you require, your destination and size of the shipment. Shipping costs will be calculated separately from your order and billed to you post purchase. Custom configured orders ship within 2 business days after all required products are in stock.

ECS Warranty Information

Express Computer Systems (ECS) provides a 1 year parts warranty against defects in material or workmanship that will affect the products functionality. All refurbished items are tested prior to shipping to guarantee up-time upon arrival. If you are having issues with an item we provided please Contact Us and we will do our best to assist you.

What does our ECS warranty cover?
We offer 1 year warranty as standard and additional years can be added to fit your needs. Please reach out to a sales associate via the Contact Us page or live chat for more information on extended coverage options. During the coverage period if your product fails we will offer a Next Business Day replacement. If we are unable to replace the product we will refund its original selling price. Shipping costs and tax are not refundable. Express Computer Systems retains the right to decide whether the goods will be replaced or refunded.

What is not covered by our warranty?
Our warranty does not cover any problem caused by the following conditions:

  1. accidents; misuse; carelessness; electrostatic discharge; shock; temperature or humidity beyond the specifications of the product; improper installation; operation; modification;
  2. any improper use that contravenes the instructions in the user manual;
  3. problems caused by other equipment. Our warranty is void if the product is returned with damaged, removed, counterfeit labels, or any modifications (including any component or external cover removal). Our warranties do not cover data loss or damages to any other equipment. In addition, our warranties do not cover incidental damages, consequential damages, or costs related to data recovery, removal, and installation.

Important notes:

  • Please ask for additional warranty/coverage that you may require in addition to the standard 1 ECS warranty prior to final purchase. Requesting additional warranty after your purchase can be denied.
